Four-prong stud earrings are a common construction for round and shaped CZ designs. Their performance and appearance depend on the basket, prong geometry, CZ seat, post position and finishing—not on a generic “must-have” claim.
Define the CZ correctly
For Truli’s current stone-set range, identify the stone as CZ unless another material is specifically verified. Do not describe CZ as diamond, natural stone or gemstone.
Record shape, size, color and quantity. The setting specification should be developed for that exact CZ geometry.
Specify basket profile
Approve the front diameter, basket height, side profile and opening pattern. A lower or higher profile changes the product appearance and the relationship between the CZ, basket and post.
Control the four prongs
Four prongs should be placed consistently around the CZ according to the approved design. Record the intended prong position, length and finished shape.
Inspect for uneven spacing, inconsistent height, unfinished tips or visible distortion. Avoid universal claims that one prong count is always more secure or brighter than another.
Check the CZ seat
The CZ should sit at the approved depth and orientation. Compare the visible edge, table position and overall centering against the sample. A setting may hold the CZ yet still fail the visual standard.
Place the post correctly
Confirm whether the post connects at the center of the basket or another specified point. Check straightness, length, thickness and the connection area.
Approve the back
Test the selected butterfly back or other closure with the approved post. Back fit should be consistent across the production sample and inspected as a functional pairing.
Define metal and surface finish
State the base metal, polishing requirements and plating color. Inspect basket recesses and the areas around the prongs for residue, roughness or incomplete finishing.
