A multi-SKU wholesale jewelry order can give buyers assortment breadth, but it also creates more specifications, samples, components and packing details to control. The goal is not simply to order “by the dozen”; it is to manage several styles as one traceable project.
Build the SKU list first
List every design code, product type, metal, color, size variation and quantity. Separate true SKUs from color or size options so quotation, production and final counting use the same structure.
Group products by process
Organize items by sterling silver, brass or stainless steel, then by construction and finish. Studs, hinged hoops, rings and chains have different inspection points. Grouping helps identify shared controls without treating unlike products as identical.
Standardize repeated specifications
Use common plating-color references, logo rules, packaging and labeling where appropriate. Repeated components can simplify control, but every finished SKU still needs its own approved dimensions, function and appearance.
Describe decorative materials correctly
Truli’s current stone-set products use CZ unless pearl or synthetic opal is verified. Do not label CZ as natural stone or gemstone. Record shape, size, color, quantity and setting method by SKU.
Compare quotations consistently
Check whether each price includes the agreed metal, dimensions or weight basis, decoration, finish, logo and packaging. Confirm current commercial terms for the actual order rather than relying on universal MOQ or lead-time claims.
Plan samples by risk
Prioritize new constructions, mechanisms, stone layouts, special textures and unfamiliar packaging. Keep written corrections attached to the correct SKU and approve revised samples when changes materially affect the product.
Control packing and counts
Define unit packaging, display cards, labels, inner packs and cartons. The packing list should follow the same SKU structure used for the purchase order and inspection.
Multi-SKU QC checklist
- SKU and variation list
- Material and finish references
- Dimensions and approved weight
- CZ, pearl or synthetic opal details
- Functional component checks
- Sample approval status
- Packaging and label mapping
- Final quantity by SKU
Prepare repeat-order records
Store specifications, sample approvals and inspection results by SKU. A repeat order should identify which version is being repeated and record any change in quantity, finish or packaging.
Structured order control makes assortment breadth manageable without relying on memory or broad product claims.
