A wholesale jewelry price only becomes meaningful when buyers know what it includes. Comparing unmatched materials, weights, constructions or packaging can create a false saving and make supplier decisions difficult to evaluate.
Start with the same specification
Give each supplier the same drawing or product description, dimensions, metal, decoration, finish, logo and packaging. If a specification changes, label the quotation as a different version.
Include metal and weight
Sterling silver, brass and stainless steel have different material and processing considerations. For silver products, clarify the target or approved weight basis. Compare weight together with construction and dimensions.
Include construction complexity
Posts, backs, hinges, clasps, soldered parts, chains and moving connectors affect the work required. A plain stud and a hinged CZ hoop should not be compared as equivalent products.
Describe CZ and pearl details
Specify CZ shape, size, color, quantity and setting method. For pearl products, confirm the verified pearl type, size and matching. Do not use natural stone or gemstone wording for Truli’s CZ products.
Define finish and plating
Record polishing, texture and plating color. If plating thickness, special testing or a controlled color reference is required, include it in the request instead of assuming every quotation uses the same standard.
Account for development and samples
Clarify sample charges, revisions and whether sample costs are handled separately from production. Custom development may require drawings, tooling or repeated approvals depending on the design.
Include quality-control requirements
State measurement tolerances, functional checks, CZ or pearl inspection, pair matching, finish standards and any requested third-party testing. Market-specific documentation should be confirmed for the actual order.
Include packaging and logistics scope
Compare the same card, pouch, bag, label and carton requirements. Confirm whether transport and import costs are included or handled separately.

- CZ, pearl or synthetic opal details
- Finish and plating requirements
- Samples and development scope
- Quality-control and testing scope
- Packaging and logistics basis
Choose total order clarity
The lowest unit price is not automatically the lowest total risk or cost. A clear comparison shows which supplier quotation matches the approved product and service scope.
